Bigger pops equals bigger fish! Never has this been more true with the highly effective and moderately priced, Prohunter Boga. Look at the door knob style design. This popper will cast like it was shot out of a mortar. These wooden poppers were proven in the Pacific for their durability and ability to draw out big aggressive reef species like the Giant Trevally. We have been testing them in Maldives, Malaysia, Indonesia, Panama, Mexico and Colombia and they have been very successful for Big GT's, Roosterfish, Cuberas, Bluefin Trevally, Jacks Crevalles and are especially deadly for schooling Yellowfin Tuna. These poppers are built to withstand the punishing abuse of these aggressive species. They are rigged with Owner ST66 5/0 heavy duty trebles and heavy duty split rings. The rear hook is offset to the bottom of the popper for optimum hook sets even when the lure is at rest.
The Boga popper is an aggressive cup popper that is incredibly easy to use and cast. Almost 4.25 oz, the rear biased weight distribution is perfect for tumble free and super long casts. Keep the rod low in rough water with short hard pops with moderate to fast retrieve speeds to get the maximum productive time in the the water. The smooth body and choice of hook size reduces the likelihood of the hook points being embedded on the body, foiling potential hookups and interfering with the proper action of the lure. Missed casts = missed opportunities.
