Anglers Outfitters Carbon Fiber Gimbal Belt is a combination of lightness, utility and durability. Made from super lightweight per-preg carbon fiber material with 20cm (0.8") of layered hard foam backing, this gimbal is comfortable to use and will not wear you out no matter how long the fight. This gimbal design not only allows you to use rods with standard butt caps (using the recessed area) but also those with metal slotted gimbal butt caps (using the attached stainless steel bolt) without any modifications. Most gimbals are of the either/or design. If it has a bolt and you try to use a rod with a standard(non-slotted) butt cap, there is a very good chance that you will damage or detach your butt cap. If you remove the bolt, then those rods with the metal slotted butt caps cannot take full advantage of having a bolted gimbal belt. The AOF gimbal also has several hole settings to facilitate the repositioning of the bolt for almost any style of fishing. To finish it off, the gimbal is secured with a thick 2' heavy duty adjustable webbing belt and quick detach snap buckles.
