Decoy solid rings are thin and strong. Perfect for connecting your Assist Hooks to a split ring and to the jig. It's unique eccentric shape causes less tangling of the assist hooks than regular round solid rings so that they are always in the correct position for good hook sets.

Typically we like to use a split ring as the main connector. Shock leader to a good quality swivel (we try to avoid snap swivels as that is just one more thing that could fail), swivel then connects to the best split ring you can get. The jig then connects to the split ring. Assist hooks are looped onto a solid ring and the solid ring then connects to the split ring. This way you can change the solid ring with hooks or the jig at anytime without having to tie any new knots. This is the split ring centric terminal rigging.
